Golden Egg Hunt
Terms of Use

These Terms govern access to the Golden Egg Hunt website, discovery verification, public history, and leaderboards. Participating games and platform services may have additional terms.

1. Agreement

By accessing or using the Hunt, you agree to these Terms and the Golden Egg Hunt Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Hunt. A parent or legal guardian must review these Terms and supervise use by anyone who cannot legally agree for themselves.

2. What constitutes a verified discovery

A discovery counts only when an approved participating-game integration submits it and the Operator's server accepts it. The server—not the player, app screen, public link, or commemorative code—determines the authoritative timestamp, overall rank, game rank, verification state, and campaign progress. A locally displayed or queued discovery is not confirmed until accepted by the server.

3. One discovery and duplicate handling

Each eligible player identity may receive credit only as permitted by the published campaign and game rules. Reinstalling, replaying, resubmitting, changing a display name, using another device, or retrying a network request does not create additional credit for the same Golden Egg. Duplicate and idempotent retries may return the original record.

4. Identity, names, and privacy

Rank and progress attach to an authenticated or pseudonymous server identity, not merely to a visible name. Display names are presentation labels and do not prove identity or ownership. You may not impersonate another person, coordinate misleading duplicate identities, use identifying information belonging to a child, or select unlawful, deceptive, abusive, infringing, or contact-oriented names. We may neutralize or hide a name while preserving the underlying verified record.

5. Hero Race and verification

The Master Hero Race may count unique verified Golden Eggs across participating games only after an approved secure identity-linking method associates those game records. Reaching the displayed target results in verification pending; it does not automatically confer the Golden Egg Hero title. The Operator may review authenticity, duplicates, eligibility, technical anomalies, and rule compliance before confirming any status.

6. Fair play and prohibited conduct

• Do not forge, modify, automate, replay, intercept, or fabricate app or API requests.
• Do not scrape, probe, reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, bypass, or test the service without written authorization.
• Do not exploit defects, manipulate clocks or devices, share private credentials, acquire another player's account, or falsely claim another player's discovery.
• Do not publish hidden solutions obtained through unauthorized access or misuse nonpublic information.
• Do not use the Hunt for unlawful activity, harassment, commercial resale, or infringement.

7. Enforcement and corrections

We may investigate suspicious activity; require additional verification; delay publication; correct technical, clerical, or moderation errors; anonymize names; exclude invalid progress; suspend access; or preserve evidence. We will not intentionally reorder valid historical discoveries merely because a player changes their privacy choice. Material determinations should be documented and applied consistently.

8. Campaign rules and future promotions

If the Hunt later includes a contest, sweepstakes, prize, benefit, charitable initiative, Community Rip, public event, or third-party collaboration, separate official rules and disclosures approved before launch will control that activity. References to future or inactive features do not create eligibility, consideration, prize value, beneficiary rights, odds, partnership, sponsorship, or endorsement.

9. Third-party platforms and non-affiliation

Apple, Game Center, Google, Google Play, participating storefronts, and other third-party services are governed by their own terms and may change or become unavailable. Unless expressly stated in approved campaign materials, they do not sponsor, administer, endorse, or operate the Hunt. Apple is not responsible for verifying Hunt discoveries or awarding Hunt status.

10. Intellectual property

The Hunt's original website design, text, artwork, software, and campaign materials are owned by or licensed to The Flins App Vault, LLC. Participating game names and third-party marks belong to their respective owners. These Terms grant only a limited, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable right to use the Hunt for its intended personal purpose.

11. Availability and changes

The Hunt may be changed, paused, restricted, or discontinued for security, maintenance, legal, platform, integrity, or operational reasons. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, a particular number of participating games, continued compatibility, preservation of an unverified submission, or launch of a proposed campaign feature.

12. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Hunt is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, error-free results, fitness for a particular purpose, or availability of a specific game or platform. Nothing in these Terms limits warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, The Flins App Vault, LLC. and its owners, personnel, and service providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of data, opportunity, status, or anticipated benefit; or reliance on unverified, delayed, unavailable, or incorrectly displayed information. Liability that cannot legally be excluded remains governed by applicable law.

14. Indemnity

Where permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for losses and claims arising from your unlawful use, intentional misuse, impersonation, infringement, security interference, or violation of these Terms. This provision does not apply where prohibited or to the extent a claim results from the Operator's own legally established conduct.

15. Governing terms and disputes

These Terms are intended to be governed by Idaho law, without displacing mandatory consumer protections or jurisdictional rights. Governing-law, venue, arbitration, class-action, and dispute-resolution provisions must be finalized by qualified counsel before public campaign launch. Contact us first so we can attempt to resolve a concern informally.

16. General provisions

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent permitted by law. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer these Terms as part of a lawful reorganization or business transfer. Approved Official Rules control over these Terms only for a direct conflict involving that specific campaign.
